Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer will need to assess process capability, support product and process qualifications, key role with New Product Introduction, form part of customer contract reviews, address and/or support key account activities from QA perspective. 
  
Quality Assurance Engineer Role:

  • Assess the validity of statistical conclusions by analyzing the assumptions used and the robustness of the technique used 
  • Define, interpret, and classify quality characteristics for new and existing products and processes 
  • Interpret specification requirements in relation to product and process characteristics and technical drawings, including characteristics such as views, title blocks, dimensioning and tolerancing, and GD&T symbols 
  • Conduct Product and Process Qualifications and Capability studies 
  • Capable of evaluating/analyzing parts using the appropriate inspection tools such as gage blocks, calipers, micrometers, dial bore gauge, optical comparators 
  • Active participant in supplier management, including supplier qualification, certification and evaluation 
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands 
  • Capable of conducting, interpreting and driving actions of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Audit preparation and assistance for external audits when/as required 
  • Read and interpret complex blue prints for Aerospace parts (GD&T) 
  • Plan, conduct, and report internal and supplier QMS or process audits (support function, not primary responsibility) 
  • Analyze all nonconformity data to determine results, document corrective actions and verify results 
  • Assess, correct and/or qualify new processes and analyze product/process performance/capabilities
  • Conduct RCCA for internal and customer related issues
  • Work with external customers on parts discrepancy verification and parts submittals to NCR process 
  • Review and Approve Inspection planning for production parts   
Background Profile:

  • Background Profile:
  • Bachelors Degree i.e. Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering REQUIRED 
  • 5-10 years' experience as a Quality Engineer for Aerospace company or High Tech manufacturing/precision machining environment  
  • Proficient in utilizing statistical tools Cp/Cpk, Pp/PpK, ANOVA and GR&R is a MUST
  • Minimum Green Belt with QE responsibilities 
  • Proficient in Root Cause Corrective Action tools   
  • Knowledgeable in GD&T / Blue Print interpretation-Preferred 
  • Shainin RedX problem solving skill set is a PLUS 
  • Knowledgeable in AS9100 or IS9001 is a PLUS
  • Understanding of Nadcap requirements a PLUS
  • Must be able to work independently and achieve results 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Detailed oriented and able to manage multiple prioritizes in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong MS Office Skills ​
